Our tour starts in the stunning Piazza Barberini, just a stone’s throw from the top of the Spanish Steps. As we explore, I’ll give you all the context and content you need to see beyond the surface and get a glimpse of the real Rome.

After soaking in the sights of the Spanish Steps (and learning what exactly makes it Spanish) we’ll wander down one of Rome’s most picturesque streets until we stumble upon the world-famous Trevi Fountain.

Anita Ekberg and Marcello Mastroianni immortalized this Baroque masterpiece while starring in Fellini’s “La Dolce Vita”. Make sure to throw a coin into the fountain before you leave. Tradition has it that doing this will ensure your return to Rome one day.

The Pantheon’s tall, secular trunks of granite acquire an air of magnificence at night. Admire this perfectly preserved Roman temple, which has survived only because a later emperor had it converted into a church.

It’s a short, scenic stroll from the Pantheon to Piazza Navona, at the center of which stands Gian Loreno Bernini’s famous Fountain of the Four Rivers. This masterpiece of the Italian renaissance comes alive in the evening, with its streaming fountains providing an aquatic, atmospheric soundtrack to the ancient churches and palaces behind it.

Our tour finishes outside Palazzo Chigi, home to the Italian parliament, or at Piazza della Colonna. Here you’ll be perfectly situated to go for aperitivo or dinner in the center!
